Automatic Changelog

Managing a customer changelog can be surprisingly stressful. When products change as quickly as they do today, keeping customers informed means tracking a constant stream of updates, working out what actually changed, and writing it up clearly, often while the next release is already on its way. It's easy for the changelog to fall behind or miss important changes.

Your changelog is now generated automatically from your product changes. Instead of writing every entry by hand, updates are created for you as your product evolves, so your changelog stays current without the extra effort. You can focus on reviewing and refining entries rather than starting from scratch each time.

New

  • Localized RSS feeds for the changelog:

If you want changelog updates in your language, you can now subscribe to localized RSS feeds from the “Changelog” page. Each feed includes up to 50 newest entries and is available when the changelog is enabled and the Help Center isn’t access-gated.

Fixed

  • Table of contents follows your reading position:

Keeping your place in a long article can be tricky. In the table of contents, you can follow your reading position as it keeps your current section visible, without moving the article when the contents fit.

  • More relevant Help Center search:

When a search misses accented words or useful word forms, it’s harder to find the right article. You can now search the Help Center using Unicode text and word prefixes. Exact-title matches and titles containing all your search terms rank higher.

  • Markdown-aware long article translations:

Long articles can be cut off during translation. You can now translate them in smaller sections that preserve Markdown formatting, reducing the chance of cut-off results.

  • You can now see running article counts for each target language in Private Translations and Help Center settings.

Fixed

  • Adding, editing, or deleting one redirect no longer affects your other redirects.

Updated

  • Mobile documentation pages scroll with the window:

On phones and tablets, scrolling a separate content area can interrupt reading. You can now scroll documentation with the browser window; the header stays at the top, and the navigation drawer opens below it. Desktop scrolling is unchanged.

Fixed

  • Callouts preserve selected lines and lists:

When you add a callout, nearby text can get pulled in or list numbering can shift. You can now keep callouts to selected lines and nested in lists, with ordered-list numbering preserved in the article editor and in Markdown imports and exports.

Direct links to article headings

When you want to point someone to one section of an article, sharing the article’s main URL makes them find it themselves. You can now share a direct link to any heading, so readers can open the article at that section.

Hover over a heading or focus it with your keyboard to reveal the link control, then copy the URL.

New

Any or All audience matching

Sometimes you want readers to see an article when they match one audience condition, not every condition. You can now choose “Any” or “All” when an audience has at least two conditions, and the match count and articles readers see follow your choice.

Choose “Any” or “All” in the audience rules for a Help Center article. Existing audiences stay set to “All”; to switch back to “All,” first remove duplicate conditions for the same attribute.

Fixed

  • Saving, reopening, and publishing no longer changes your code examples.

  • Copy and open articles from breadcrumbs:

Need to reuse or share an article? You can now copy it as Markdown, copy the page, view it as Markdown, or open it with a reading prompt in ChatGPT or Claude from the “Copy” button beside the breadcrumbs.

  • Felix approval flows now show the request you answered and which one comes next.

  • Your Help Center article and sidebar now load at the same time, which can reduce waiting.

Internal articles for AI answers

Some guidance should inform answers but stay off reader-facing pages and links. You can now publish articles as “Internal” so the built-in AI and your customer bots can use them without showing them to readers. This lets you make that guidance available for AI answers while keeping it out of reader-facing content.

Choose “Internal” when publishing an article. Audience rules still apply.

New

Content API

When you need to access your help content outside the Help Center, you can now retrieve help centers, collections, and published or Internal articles through the read-only Content API. You can also use reader simulation, and audience rules still apply.

Organization admins can create and revoke API keys in “Settings → API keys” and set an optional expiry. Each key’s secret appears only when you create it, so save it then. Available on Professional and above.

Profile photos across your workspace

Seeing a familiar face beside a name helps you recognize who’s contributing across the product. You can now upload, crop, change, or remove your profile photo. It appears in the side menu, profile popover, articles, Glossary, and team members.

Open your profile controls to manage your photo. You can update it or remove it there at any time.

  • Open search with a shortcut:

If you want to search without first finding the search field, you can press ⌘K on Mac or Ctrl+K elsewhere. On desktop, this focuses and selects the search field; on mobile, it opens the search overlay.
