Enable the Changelog in a Help Center
Enable the Changelog add-on in your Help Center settings to display a Changelog tab with published entries from Changes for your readers
Turn on the Changelog add-on to give readers a "Changelog" tab with entries published from Changes. The add-on is off by default, and you need to be an organization admin to change it.
Turn on the Changelog add-on
-
Open your Help Center
Open "Help Centers" from the main navigation. Click the name or row of the Help Center you want to configure to open its screen. -
Go to Add-ons
In the Help Center settings, click "Add-ons" under "Project Settings." You'll see the "Reader engagement" section, which holds optional widgets for collecting reader feedback. -
Switch on Changelog
Under "Reader engagement," find "Changelog" and turn its switch on. There's nothing else to fill in, and there's no Save button: the change saves as soon as you flip the switch. The switch may be unavailable for a moment while settings load or save.If saving fails, the switch reverts and an error message appears in the section. If you're not an admin, you can still see the setting, but trying to change it shows "Only admins can author the changelog."
The "Changelog" tab shows up next to "Home" in your Help Center only once at least one changelog entry is published. Turning the add-on on without published entries won't make the tab appear. If your Help Center requires authentication, readers still have to sign in the same way as before. Enabling the changelog doesn't make a protected Help Center or its changelog public.
