How is Help Center article creation automated?

HappySupport automates article creation through screen recording analysis and AI support content generation. You record a workflow with the AI Article Recorder, and the system transforms it into a structured article with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

How it works

Recording-based automation

When you record your software with the AI Article Recorder, HappySupport analyzes each click you made and generates:

  • A screenshot for every click action and an animated GIF
  • Step-by-step text descriptions
  • Structured headings based on the workflow

For recordings that need richer information, you can add extra context via voice or written format on each individual step. The AI analyzes each step's context and position in the workflow, then produces concise instructions using active voice. If you have a glossary configured, the AI incorporates your defined terms automatically.

Template-based creation

When creating articles manually, you can select from templates (FAQ, Reference, Knowledge, Best Practices) that provide pre-formatted structures. Click "Generate article" after selecting a template to create the initial draft. You get the best results, if you have connected your GitHub repo.

Auto-translation

On Pro and Enterprise plans, articles can be automatically translated into your configured target languages. The system respects your tone (formal/informal) and addressing (personal/impersonal) settings per language. Translations aren't regenerated automatically when you update source articles. Instead, they're marked as "Outdated" until you manually trigger retranslation.

Handoff: HappySupport monitors your codebase for changes

When connected to GitHub, HappySupport monitors your repositories for code changes, so that you can analyze which support docs need an update.
