Yes, you can use the AI Article Recorder to create guides for internal use. Record any guide the same way you would for public documentation, then control who can access it through sharing settings or Help Center access controls.

Scenarios

If you want to share with specific people without publishing

You can generate a direct link to any guide and share it with your team. The guide doesn't need to be in a published Help Center.

What to do: Open the guide, click "Share", and copy the generated link. Anyone with the link can view it. For extra security, enable password protection in the share settings.

If you want an internal-only Help Center

You can restrict your entire Help Center so only people with a password or SSO credentials can access it.

What to do: Go to "Settings" → "Access Control" in your Help Center and select "Password" or "SSO" as the authentication type. All articles in that Help Center become internal-only.

If you want to keep guides in draft status

Guides with "Draft" status aren't visible to Help Center visitors and aren't indexed by HappyChat.

What to do: Save your guide but don't change its status to "Published". Team members with Editor or Admin roles can still view and edit it in the workspace.
